ONGC extends help to flood affected villagers


Agartala, August 28, 2019: With its continuing concern for CSR and care for the society, ONGC extended its support to the villagers near its KunjabanManiforld- who were badly affected by the unprecedented rainfalls that ravaged Agartala barely a fortnight ago  and which had caused floods.

 The ONGC team led by Roshan Lal Meena, (officiating Asset Manager- Tripura Asset) , Saket Gupta, In- Charge Human Resources, and R.K. Dewal,  In-Charge Health Safety and Environment along with members of the CSR team led by Chief Manger HR Shishir Minz zeroed on to the flood hit village of Indrapur near the Kunjaban Manifold and distributed Blankets, Mattresses, Pillows and cereals to around fifty families of the village.

The overjoyed villagers were full of appreciation for ONGC’s efforts and said that this was a much awaited relief. The camp was conducted with the coordination of a renowned NGO Bharat Sevashram Sangh.

Some of the food grains that were in excess were distributed to another adjoining village by the organizing NGO.

ONGC with its outlook of inclusive growth and development constantly organizes CSR camps on need basis in and around its operational areas to address the problems of the local inhabitants and this step was another exercise in the same direction.
