Kohima, October 30, 2017: Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya has extended warm greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi festivals. He said the festivals were celebrated to invoke God’s blessings and bring good harvest and health.

He called on the Zeliang’s to take time and thank Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing.

In his message the Governor also reminded the community to thank the farmers for their hard work. He said that the Central and State Governments have welfare projects for farmers such as soil testing, Kisan credit card, National Food Security Mission etc to help in production and productivity.

‘It should be our responsibility that these welfare projects are made known to them and motivate them to avail the services for their benefit’ the Governor stated.

Governor Acharya hoped that the Zeliang community would continue to preserve and promote their age-old traditions and showcase the rich cultural heritage as they celebrate their premier festival.
