Lok Sabha election schedule for North-east states

Agartala, March,05, 2014: Chief election Commissioner, VS Sampath today has announced schedule of 16th Lok Sabha election, 2014. The election will be held in 9 phases in all over the country from April 7 and end on May 12. The result will be declared on May 16. 

In northeastern region the election will be held maximum in 3 phases in Assam on April 7, 12 and 24 for 14 seats.  For two seats in Tripura it will be held in two phases on April 7 and 12. 

On the other hand, vote for 2 seats in Manipur will be held on April 9 and 17.  In other states of the region the election will be held in single day.

According to the schedule of election commission vote for Lok Sabha election will be held on April 9 in Arunachal Pradesh (2 seats), Meghalaya (2 seats), Nagaland (1 seat) and Mizoram, (1 seat) and in Sikkim (1 seat) it will be held on April 12.
