Soulmate,
a blues band from Shillong, has recently launched their first
album Shillong with a predominant love theme. The band comprises
of Rudy Wallang (guitar and vocals), Tripriti Kharbyngar (vocals
and guitar), Sam Shullai (drums) and Manas Choudhury (bass

Wallang. He previously played with Mojo, also a blues band.
Soulmate
was formed around three years ago when Rudy Wallang (who was a

Kharbangar, who has sung quite a number of concerts as a solo
artiste as well as doing a short stint on vocals and backing
vocals with MOJO, decided to continue their musical journey-the
BLUES being their driving force and main source of inspiration.
Their first performance was at the Roots
Festival in Shillong in the year 2003.
Soulmate
also played at the 2004 Roots Festival alongside Emtrio from
Italy. Next, they performed at the International "Jazzmandu"
Jazz Festival held earlier in March 2004 in Katmandu; Nepal.
They played a series of eight concerts at different venues in
Nepal alongside bands and musicians from Norway, Indonesia,
Britain, Benin (Africa), The Czech Republic and Nepal. The band
has also played a series of concerts in Darjeeling (Darjeeling
Carnival 2004), Kalimpong (Kalimpong Winter Fest.2004), Sikim (Mangan
