Safexpress and IMA bring a model shift in Health Care Logistics

Safexpress made a presentation to the Indian Medical fraternity on ‘The importance of Supply Chain and Logistics in Health Care Industry’.

IMA (Indian Medical Association) came into existence in 1928. IMA is an association of doctors representing more than 1 lac doctors all over India. This apex body’s primary objective is to safeguard the interests of medical professionals and the medical fraternity at large.

IMA is the largest and the only Medical Association of its kind, which has its elected representatives from all over the country. The number of these representatives is more than 200. These 200 Doctors from the across the country, elected by IMA practically represent the complete Indian Medical Community. These doctors are elected from every Indian state and come together once every year at the annual meet. The IMA Annual Conference 2008 provided these 200 doctors a common platform to discuss issues affecting the Indian Health Care Industry.

The biggest issue at the IMA Annual Meet was identified as the role of Logistics in the Health Care Industry. IMA, the apex body of the entire medical fraternity and Safexpress, the No. 1 Logistics Company in the country for the first time ever decided to come together to promote the thought process for having a proper Logistics channel in place with respect to the Health Care Industry.
