Strengthen Supply Chain for growth in Manufacturing Sector: Safexpress

 

Safexpress Pvt Ltd, Leaders in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry sponsored the ‘3rd Annual Manufacturing Excellence Conference 2008’. The conference was held on 21 and 22 April 2008 at Renaissance Hotel, Mumbai, India.

The Manufacturing Conference identified Supply Chain Practices as one of the most crucial aspects for the growth of the Manufacturing sector. A need for a more organized and innovative Supply Chain system was felt for attaining faster and higher growth in the Manufacturing sector.

The manufacturing sector has been averaging 9 % from 2004-08, with a record 12.3 % in 2006-07. The manufacturing revolution occurring in India has been spurred by the increasing presence of MNC’s, technological advancement in national companies and market expansion in general. India's manufacturing base is the fourth-largest among emerging economies and one of the fastest growing sectors. India is likely to become primary manufacturing base in near future.
