Agartala, June 17, 2010: It was indeed a different type of felicitation programme at Agartala. In a unique gesture the Jail authorities of Tripura felicitated those prison inmates who had had successfully passed in Madhyamik, Higher Secondary and graduate level examination this year.

Speaking on this occasion the Tripura jail Minister Manindra Reang said that now a day jail is gradually turning into a reform centre. He also said that the Tripura government had initiative to impart lesson to the convicts now lodged in different jails. Certificates and mark sheets were handed over to the successful candidates on this occasion.

Apart from jail Minister, Inspector General of Jail Abhinoy Halam and high officials of jail department were present on this occasion.
