Agartala, June 30, 2010: The parliamentary committee of Union Agriculture Ministry will recommend setting up setting up of buffer stock of fertilizers in Tripura to facilitate smooth supply of fertilizers.

This was told by Basudeb Acharya, MP and Chairman of the standing committee of Agriculture at a press conference in Agartala Wednesday. Acharya regretted the fact that the farmers of Tripura can avail loan up to only 30 percent of their deposit against the national average of 50%.

He also emphasized on modernization of existing rice mills of Tripura and setting up of a food park at Agartala at the earliest.
