Best Debut Indian Film Section 2024 launched

NATIONAL, September 14, 2024: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has launched the "Best Debut Indian Film Section 2024" at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa which will take place from November 20 to 28.

This section will feature a diverse selection of debut films from India showcasing the unique storytelling styles and creative visions of young filmmakers.

A maximum of five debut feature films will be chosen to be shown in this section. The submission deadline for entries to the "Best Debut Indian Film Section" is September 23.

Other notable events at the festival include the announcement of the first list of 16 candidates in Uttar Pradesh the elections for the Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency on June 1 and the fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 13. 

In addition, Air India Express has cancelled over 80 flights due to a shortage of cabin crew.
