Bharat Utsav – Festival gets underway in Moscow, Russia

REGIONAL, July 07, 2025: Nagaland is representing Northeast India as it has participated in the Bharat Utsav – Festival of India, which is taking place from July 5 to 13 in Moscow, capital of Russia. The event, organised by the Indian Embassy in Moscow and the Moscow City Government, celebrates India's cultural heritage and growing entrepreneurial landscape. 

The Nagaland Delegation, including high-ranking officials and dignitaries, is expected to enhance the State's international engagements. The Department of Industries & Commerce is coordinating the State's participation, with a dedicated Nagaland stall showcasing local crafts, indigenous products and enterprise-led innovations. 

A cultural troupe from Nagaland deputed through the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) is also presenting traditional folk music and dance performances. The response to Nagaland's participation has been encouraging and reinforcing its unique identity and emerging presence in global conversations around culture and entrepreneurship.
