The Kuki Union Kohima celebrates Chavang Kut 2025
Kuki community's unique identity and cultural heritage highlighted

REGIONAL, November 01, 2025: The Kuki Union Kohima celebrated Chavang Kut 2025, a cultural event, Saturday at the Bamboo Hall in Naga Heritage Village Kisama. The special guest, MLA and Advisor, Information and Public Relations and Soil and Water Conservation, Nagaland, highlighted the Kuki community's unique identity and cultural heritage.
He underscored the need for more stringent law and order mechanisms to maintain peace and harmony. Imchen also acknowledged the Kukis' contributions to the region's political journey since the Simon Commission and their representation in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The festival, which included traditional dance and special song, was exquisitely organised. The event was attended by representatives from various public organisations, including the Angami Public Organization (APO), Kohima Ao Telongjem, SAYO, Sumi Union, Konyak Union Kohima, Nagaland Mizo Welfare Association and Zeliang Union Kohima.
The Kuki Union also acknowledged Advisor Imkong L Imchen and Dr Tsielhoutuo Ato Rhutso, MLA, for their assistance during the celebration.
