Prime Minister chaired All India Conference of DGPs and IGPs

NATIONAL, November 29, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police in Chhattisgarh Saturday. In a social media post Modi stated that the first day of the DGP-IGP Conference in Raipur involved extensive discussions on various aspects of India's security system.
He also asserted the importance of this forum in sharing best practices and innovations in the field. The three-day conference, which began yesterday at the Indian Institute of Management in Nawa Raipur, will see the Prime Minister participating in various sessions today and tomorrow.
Other attendees include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, the Union Minister of State for Home, Directors General of Police from different states and union territories, and heads of Central Police Organisations.
This year's conference theme is "Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions," with a focus on developing advanced security frameworks to protect citizens from modern challenges. Detailed discussions are also being held on key national security issues such as Left-Wing Extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women's safety and the use of forensic science and artificial intelligence in policing.
The Prime Minister will also present the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service during the conference.
