184 Type-VII Multi-Storey Flats constructed for the MPs

NATIONAL, August 10, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 184 newly constructed Type-VII Multi-Storey Flats for Members of Parliament in New Delhi on August 11, 2025. The self-sufficient complex, designed with modern amenities is environmentally sustainable and adheres to GRIHA 3-star rating standards and the National Building Code (NBC) 2016.
The project is Divyang-friendly, demonstrating a commitment to inclusive design. The development was necessary due to a shortage of housing for Members of Parliament.
Each residential unit offers 5,000 square feet of carpeted area, dedicated offices, staff accommodation and a community centre. All buildings are earthquake-resistant and a robust security system is in place to ensure the safety of all residents.
