Chief Minister Dr Saha welcomed those who have lived difficult lives

AGARTALA, September 24, 2024: The surrender of 584 extremists from the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) Tuesday marks a significant milestone towards peace in Tripura. The event, presided over by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, took place at the Headquarters of the 7th Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles in Sepahijala District.
The ceremony followed the peace accord signed between the Government of India, the Government of Tripura, the NLFT and the ATTF in New Delhi on September 4. Biswa Mohan Debbarma, President of NLFT (BM), Parimal Debbarma, President of NLFT (PD), Prasenjit Debbarma, President of NLFT (ORI) and Alindra Debbarma, President of ATTF surrendered their AK Series Rifles before the Chief Minister.
Dr Manik Saha stated that problems cannot be resolved through hatred and welcomed those who have lived difficult lives, and have now joined the mainstream. He also mentioned that both the state and central governments have implemented a series of schemes for the development of the Janajati (indigenous) people.
