Bangladesh High Commissioner Calls on Meghalaya Speaker
REGIONAL: High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India M Riaz Hamidullah paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Thomas A Sangma at Shillong Thursday. Accompanying the High Commissioner was Zikrul Hasan Fahad, Assistant High Commissioner and Head of Mission in Guwahati.
During the meeting, the Speaker presented Hamidullah with a coffee table book and traditional gifts from Meghalaya as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation. Also in attendance were Deputy Speaker Limison D Sangma, Assembly Secretary Malthus S Sangma, Adviser (Legislation) Dr Andrew Simons and other officials from the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
The interaction took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, highlighting the mutual respect and continued engagement between Bangladesh and the State of Meghalaya.
