AGARTALA, June 26 2021: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has suspended DEMU train services in Tripura with Covid-19 situation far from over. The state has been reeling under infection menace and the government has ordered further extension of curfew for another week.
The NFR also regulated few other long distance trains that are in operation amid pandemic. The trains would not make a halt at Jogendra Nagar, Jirania, Panisagar, Pecharthal, Manu and Mungiakami railway stations of the state.
NFR officials Saturday said new measures are in place to comply with the advisory received from the medical authorities to ensure health safety of the passengers. They however said the actions are temporary.
