
NATIONAL: An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck parts of Sikkim with the epicenter located 11 kilometers from Maneybung in West Sikkim Saturday evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The Sikkim Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) reported no injuries or damage to property as a result of the earthquake occurred at 7.35 pm.
The tremors were felt not only in Gangtok and various locations within Sikkim but also in neighboring regions including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and China.
