Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha highlighted Sen’s literary and cultural involvement recalling their connection from their college days.
AGARTALA: Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, describing it as an irreparable loss. Sen passed away due to a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment in Bengaluru Friday morning.
His remains were flown back to Agartala Saturday where tributes were paid by Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Dr Saha, Ministers, officials and leaders cutting across the political divide at the state assembly premises.
Dr Saha reflected on his personal meetings with Sen, recalling his visits and discussions, particularly noting Sen’s sudden health decline during a train journey that led to urgent medical intervention. Praising Sen's dedication and contributions to the state's development, the Chief Minister highlighted his literary and cultural involvement recalling their connection from their college days.
The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to Sen's family and offered prayers for his soul, recognising the profound impact of Sen's loss on the people of Tripura and himself personally.
