Bihar vote schedule finally announced, poll in two phases
Overall election process is expected to conclude by November 16: ECI

NATIONAL, October 06, 2025: The assembly elections in Bihar shall take place in two phases with polling set for November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14 and the overall election process is expected to conclude by November 16 as announced by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar Monday.
The first phase will involve 121 assembly constituencies, while 122 constituencies will be covered in the second phase. Key dates for the first phase include the last date for filing nominations on October 17, scrutiny on October 18 and withdrawal of candidature by October 20.
For the second phase, nominations must be filed by October 20, scrutiny will occur on October 21 and withdrawal is due by October 23.
Notably, the current assembly's term ends on November 22 with Bihar comprising a total of 243 constituencies including two reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 38 for Scheduled Castes.
