CM asks players to maintain their fitness through practice
Suggested incorporating yoga and gymnastics into their training

AGARTALA, September 14, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha highlighted importance of proper training for sports talents and the development of sports infrastructure in the state. He also stressed the need for players to maintain their fitness through regular practice and suggested incorporating yoga and gymnastics into their training.
Dr Saha attended a felicitation and award distribution ceremony organised by the Tripura Cricket Association on Saturday. He urged officials to strive for excellence and bring glory to Tripura at both national and international levels.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the ongoing international stadium project at Narsinghgarh, despite facing challenges such as a shortage of space for vehicle movement. He instructed the District Magistrate and officials to address this issue and proposed acquiring land to be handed over to the TCA for proper arrangements.
The event was attended by the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar, IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal and honorary TCA president Tapan Lodh.
