REGIONAL, November 08, 2025: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the 22nd Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-III in Kohima, Nagaland, on November 10. The two-day conference will bring together Presiding Officers, MPs and MLAs from eight Northeastern states focusing on the theme “Policy, Progress & People: Legislatures as Catalysts of Change.”
Key discussions will address the role of legislatures in achieving Viksit Bharat and climate change impacts in the region. The closing ceremony will feature Harivansh with acknowledgments from regional legislative leaders.
Besides, a Tree Plantation Drive will commemorate the event. CPA India Region Zone III stresses regional cooperation, infrastructure development and enhancing parliamentary accessibility through technology, evident in initiatives like the National eVidhan Application (NeVA) and public engagement efforts.
