NATIONAL, November 10, 2024: The Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare has launched the Nation-wide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 3.0 aiming to digitally empower pensioners. The campaign will be held in 800 cities and towns across India from November 1 to 30.
All pensioners from Central and state Governments as well as EPFO and Autonomous bodies can submit their Digital Life Certificates at Pension Disbursing Banks or IPPB. Super Senior Pensioners can submit their DLCs from their residences with door-step delivery of services.
The campaign is a continuation of the successful National-wide Campaign 2.0, which was conducted from November 1 to 30, 2023, in collaboration with 17 Pension Disbursing Banks, Ministries and Departments, Pensioners' Welfare Associations, UIDAI and MeitY.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about DLC-Face Authentication technique through banners and posters placed in offices and bank branches. Banks have dedicated staffs that use the technology extensively for DLC submission.
The Pensioners' Welfare Associations are also supporting the campaign, motivating pensioners to visit nearby camp locations and submit their DLCs. By the end of the first week over 37 lakh Digital Life Certificates were generated with SBI and PNB leading the way with over 5 lakh DLCs.
