Shah will chair Manthan Baithak with cooperation ministers of states

NATIONAL, June 28, 2025: The Ministry of Cooperation is set to hold a Manthan Baithak on June 30 in New Delhi to be chaired by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. The event will involve Cooperation Ministers and senor bureaucrats of Cooperation Departments of States and Union Territories to review progress, exchange views and chart the way forward to strengthen the cooperative sector.

The primary objective is to nurture a shared understanding and develop a coordinated effort to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi' (Prosperity through Cooperation) through mutual convergence. The Baithak will discuss major initiatives such as the establishment of 2 lakh new Multi-purpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), dairy and fisheries cooperative societies, and the World's Largest Grain Storage Scheme.

The Baithak will also review the role of States in the activities of the three new National Multi-state Cooperative Societies, the White Revolution 2.0 program, and digital transformative initiatives. The Baithak will also discuss human resource development, training, and capacity building in the cooperative sector, as well as steps taken by the Central Government for financial strengthening.
