Tripura forest rangers to check illegal resource trafficking
Minister handed motorcycles to them at the State Forest Academy

AGARTALA, May 01, 2025: Forests are essential for human survival, yet their area is decreasing due to public ignorance. Tripura Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma stressed on the importance of collaboration in protecting forests from illegal resource trafficking.
He also announced the need for improved infrastructure for forest protection workers at the grassroots level. At the Tripura State Forest Academy in Hati Para, near Agartala, 58 motorcycles were distributed to Rangers across all districts, Thursday.
These motorbikes will be used to enhance forest protection efforts as more trees will be planted this year, minister said. The initiatives will be implemented to improve infrastructure for forest protection.
PCCF (EP PR & Protection) Chaitanya Murthy delivered the welcome address while Principal Secretary of Forest and Head of Forest Force A.R.K. Shyamal was the guest of honour.
