
WORLD: Bangladesh government Wednesday appointed 1,051 executive magistrates to oversee the February 12 general election and national referendum.
The Ministry of Public Administration announced that these magistrates granted authority to conduct mobile courts to ensure adherence to the electoral code of conduct, maintain law and order, prevent crime and collaborate with law enforcement forces and agencies.
Their mobile court operations will take place from February 8 to 14. They are also required to undergo training and returning officers.
