
AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha laid down the importance of ethics and values in education for students stating that their acquired knowledge should contribute to societal and national welfare to ensure their personal development in the future. He made these remarks during the inauguration of a new two-storey building at PM SHRI Hajibari Class XII School in the Fatikroy Assembly limit in north Tripura Wednesday.
Chief Minister unveiled the foundation stone for a new bridge over the Manu River, which will benefit around six to seven thousand residents, particularly farmers by facilitating access to markets and improving proximity to the Kumarghat Railway Station.
Dr Saha also highlighted improvements in women's safety in Tripura mentioning a significant reduction in the region's crime rate, which has fostered a fear-free environment for women. He noted advancements in the state's education system, including the incorporation of technology and initiatives to enhance accessibility through Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL) as part of the National Education Policy.
Chief Minister stated that the state's educational infrastructure has significantly progressed with the establishment of various universities an increase in medical college seats and the creation of specialised universities that has reduced the need for students to seek higher education outside the state.
