R-Day celebrations: Know Your Army Campaign in Agartala
AGARTALA: In preparation for the Republic Day celebrations, the Albert Ekka Brigade of the Red Shield Division organised a “Know Your Army” camp at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala Thursday. The initiative aimed to increase awareness and strengthen connections between the Indian Army and the youth and citizens highlighting the Army's ethos, capabilities, and commitment to nation-building.
The event featured a weapon and equipment display, which showcased a variety of modern military weapons and systems. Soldiers provided explanations about the operational aspects, features and significance of the displayed equipment, creating significant interest among the large number of visitors.
A key highlight of the event was an interactive session where students and the general public engaged directly with Army personnel. This session allowed participants to learn about life in the Army, training standards, discipline and career opportunities, thereby inspiring many young attendees and enhancing the bond between the military and the civil community.
The event received enthusiastic participation from students, local residents and other visitors, who valued the chance to obtain firsthand knowledge about the Indian Army's dedication to safeguarding the nation.
