AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha announced Wednesday that the state's primary schools have achieved a zero dropout rate from Class I to Class V. He credited the success to the implementation of various programmes by the Elementary Education Department.
Dr Saha shared this information during a session of the State Assembly. He also highlighted the initiatives taken to maintain this zero dropout rate, including the Nipun Bharat Mission and the Saharsha Tripura programme, which focus on the overall development of children.
The students are also provided with learning aids and play materials. The government has also taken measures such as tracking student dropouts through U-DISE, offering digital learning, establishing libraries in each school, providing special training for out-of-school children, constructing separate toilets, offering stipends for children with special needs, organising regular teacher-parent conferences and supplying free school uniforms and textbooks.
