AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha stressed BJP's aim to contest all 28 seats in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections while clarifying that they do not dismiss potential alliance partners. He welcomed 587 new party members into BJP fold during the rally while participating in a joining programme organised by the Karamchara Mandal of the BJP in Dhumachhara, Dhalai district, Saturday.
Chief Minister asserted that their decision is timely and crucial for progress in the state aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘New India’ and a “New Tripura.” Dr Saha criticised previous political administrations for their failure to address tribal issues and claimed that the current BJP government embodies transparency and anti-corruption, contrasting it with previous governments known for corruption.
He highlighted Tripura's improved law and order situation, with a significant 8.2% decrease in crime rates over the last 20 years and noted the state's economic progress being recognised as a front-runner by NITI Aayog. Dr Saha acknowledged the challenges posed by communal politics and affirmed the BJP's inclusive approach, advocating for ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ to ensure collective progress for all communities in Tripura.
