CM launches Wi-Fi facilities in 11 government colleges
Said youth will play crucial role building a Viksit Bharat by 2047

AGARTALA, October 30, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has underscored the importance of AI and the Internet in various fields, stating that technology should be used for the welfare of the people. He was speaking during the inauguration of Wi-Fi facilities in 11 government colleges (Phase II) and launching of the Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana for the academic year 2024-25 at the Government Arts and Crafts College in Agartala.
The Chief Minister asserted that the youth community, comprising 60–65% of the total population, will play a crucial role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Tripura, the third fully literate state in the country, has also made significant progress in technology, he said, adding the state government has introduced a start-up policy attracting investors from outside the state.
Medical science and AI are also being used to advance in various fields, with great work being done in medical services and agriculture. The Chief Minister also laid the importance of setting up more mobile phone towers in the state.
