Heavy rainfall in northeast, central India from tomorrow

NATIONAL, September 18, 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over the Eastern and Central parts of the country for the next two days. The IMD said that very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands tomorrow.

Heavy rainfall is also very likely over Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and the northeastern states till September 21.

The weather department also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu, Jharkhand, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and northeastern states for the next three to four days.
