NDA partner the NDPP wins in Nagaland byelection

KOHIMA, December 03 2023: The NDPP candidate Wangpang Konyak won from the 43-Tapi assembly constituency which went to byelection on November 7. He defeated Wanglem Konyak of the Congress.
The NDPP is part of the NDA coalition and a segment of the Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
The Returning Officer of Rongsenmenla declared Wangpang Konyak of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) duly elected having secured 10,053 votes. The counting of votes took place Sunday.
