Quality education: Chief Minister Dr Saha launches TSQAAF
He said that the children should also be engaged in social work

AGARTALA, July 04, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has underlined the importance of quality education for students and the recruitment of quality teachers through the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF). He stated that textbook education cannot be the standard of life and that children should also be engaged in social work.
The state education department is working to maintain parity with the national education policy 2020, which aims to provide a uniform curriculum and question paper for students to compete centrally. "The TSQAAF will assess the standards of each school and recognize teachers accordingly”, Dr Saha stated.
The Chief Minister said this while launching the TSQAAF here on Friday. Dr Saha also highlighted the role of education in improving socio-economic conditions and enhancing knowledge. He stressed the need for children to be involved in sports, social work, and other activities alongside studies to succeed in life.
He said that the responsibility of teachers is to develop students into good human beings and teach them about social problems and their solutions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also conducting a test-paying exercise program to reduce exam-related stress among children, he added.
The event was attended by Special Secretary of the Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Education NC Sharma and CEO of SBI Foundation Sanjay Prakash.
