
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha reiterated the commitment of the BJP to the overall development of the Janajati (indigenous) community stating it as a primary goal of his government. During a BJP organisational programme at Khumulwng Wednesday, he expressed confidence in the party's victory in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and Village Council elections attributing increased public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP as a catalyst for this success.
Dr Saha noted the significance of the rally named "Janajati Empowerment and Tripura Empowerment" underscoring the need for collective support towards development initiatives led by the Prime Minister since 2014. He assured that only the BJP could bring genuine improvements for the tribals and criticised past administrations for their insincere promises.
He further highlighted that the current momentum for the BJP is reflective of broader national support and expressed certainty that the party would form the government in the District Council.
The event was attended by Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and BJP's Pradesh General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, among party officials and leaders.
