Tripura to set up oxygen plant in every district

AGARTALA, June 11 2021: Tripura government will set up oxygen plant in every district of the state in response to current wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb announced the decision after inaugurating a 600 LPM PSA oxygen generation plant at premises of Tripura Medical College at Hafania in city outskirts.

Rs 1.66 Crore was spent for its installation; officials said adding that this would be the biggest oxygen plant in the state so far.

Speaking at the programme, Chief Minister said they are in receipt of adequate vaccines, medicines and equipments from the centre to deal with the Covid-19 situation.

He further informed that National Health Mission has endeavoured to install a set of 18 oxygen plants across the state.
