AGARTALA, September 13, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said Friday the main goal of the government is to work for the welfare people. He urged the newly elected representatives of the three-tier Panchayat to line up solving the issues faced by the people.
Speaking at the oath taking ceremony of the office bearers, Dr Saha highlighted the crucial role of the Panchayat in implementing state and central government schemes for the benefit of every individual in society. He also commended the transparency demonstrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr Saha stressed the importance of the Panchayat working transparently and treating people with respect. He also acknowledged the assistance provided by the Central Government during the recent flood situation in Tripura, including resources such as NDRF teams, boats and helicopters.
Chief Minister Dr Saha urged the elected representatives of Panchayat Samiti, Zila Parishad and Gram Panchayats to fulfill their responsibilities by effectively addressing the problems faced by the people. He directed all Secretaries to visit various areas of the state to oversee development works and ensure that District Magistrates, SDMs and BDOs are motivated.
The event was attended by Cooperatives Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, MLA Swapna Majumder, MLA Pramod Reang, MLA Mailafru Mog, Secretary of Rural Development Department Sandeep Rathore, District Magistrate Smita Mol, Panchayat Department Director Prasoon Dey and other public representatives and administration officials.
