Tripura CM orders probe into attack on Editor of daily
AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha instructed police authorities to commit a thorough investigation into the alleged attack on founder editor of daily Pratibadi Kalam at Udaipur in Gomati district Tuesday. Editor Anal Roy Chowdhury and his lawyer faced unruly behaviour and threats by a group of antisocial elements at the district court complex.
The vehicle of the duo was even not allowed to move for quite some time. They were rescued by a group of local lawyers. Choudhury who managed to return unhurt lodged a complaint with the West Agartala Police Station narrating the whole gamut.
Chief Minster in evening post on his social media platforms said he has come to know about the incident. He said to have instructed the police administration to conduct a proper investigation and take against the culprits.
